加入IDC之前，高先生曾先后在通用电气（中国）有限公司和通用电气工业集团担任亚太区IT项目主管，主要从事IT战略规划和应用系统实施；在此之前，高先生曾就职于中兴通讯有限公司国际用户服务部从事固定网络国际项目的实施技术支持工作。

高先生在北京邮电大学信息工程系获得理学学士学位，在英国伦敦大学电子工程系获得理学荣誉硕士学位。

Stephen Gao is a senior research analyst for IDC China’s Cross Product Group as well as Manufacturing Insights China. Stephen, has extensive experience in research for the ICT market and vertical industries. He covers application, IT service, and manufacturing and telecom vertical solutions, as well as industry, customer demand, and sales channel research.

Stephen Gao has been involved in many market research projects, and has received positive evaluation from customers for his invaluable strategic recommendations.

Prior to joining IDC, Stephen worked for GE (China) and GE Industrial as an Asia IT project leader, focusing on Enterprise IT strategy planning and application implementation. He was also employed at ZTE Corporation as a global customer service specialist, providing technical support and coordination for worldwide data network projects.

Stephen Gao has a Bachelor's from the Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications and Master's (with Honors) from the University of London.
